Alter Bridge will release “Blackbird”, on October 9th.
The album’s title track is an eight-minute song that singer Myles Kennedy said was inspired by a friend who passed away as the tune was completed. Kennedy explained, “It’s a story about the struggle to move on to a better place. It was my wish for him to finally find his peace.”

Guitarist Mark Tremonti, bassist Brian Marshall and drummer Scott Phillips were all previously in CREED, while Kennedy sang for the MAYFIELD FOUR.
“One Day Remains” debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard album chart and was certified gold for sales of more than 500,000 copies.
